2 tblspn. butter
3 large ripe bananas
1/2 cup sugar
25 ml lemon juice
25 ml orange juice
50 ml grand mariner liqueur
vanilla ice cream
In a saucepan melt butter and sugar together, being
careful not to burn the sugar, let it get light brown. When
sugar is browned, add juices and let simmer on high heat
until mixture has reduced to a thin syrup. Peel and halve
bananas and saute them in syrup. When the bananas
start to get soft turn up the heat, add grand mariner and
ignite the alcohol. Serve over ice cream.
Serves 6
* Use caution *
when igniting alcohol and when adding grand mariner to
the hot pan. (remove pan from flame when adding
alcohol)
