400g. clams (meat only)
1 tblspn. olive oil
1 1/2 cup celery
2 large or 3 small potatoes, cubed (about 2 cups)
2 cup chopped onion
2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. sugar
2 cans tomatoes, cut (400g each)
3 1/2 cup fish broth (dashi)
6 bacon slices fried and chopped
In soup pot, heat oil. Add potatoes, onion, and celery. Saute
3 minutes or until onion is just tender, not brown! Add 1/2 cup fish
broth. Simmer 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Mash
potatoes slightly against side of pot. Add remaining ingredients
except bacon. Stir occasionally over medium low heat until heated
through. Top each serving with bacon chips.
